Name That Tune - Jukebox Style (a trivial music game)

Rules are simple:
1) the Maestro (I'll explain this in a moment) plays or picks a random 10 songs from his/her collection.
2) the Maestro then pastes RANDOM lyrics from those songs.
a) it is recomended that you don't pull the 1st line
/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> it is also recomended that you post a line which DOES NOT contain the song title
3) Players post song names and artists (i.e. "the #8 lyrics belong to Mr Roboto by STYX")
4) Players are awarded points as follows:
a) 1 point for song title
/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> 1 point for the artist
c) 1 bonus point if you name both in the same post
5) Round of play continues until all the songs have been labeled or until the Maestro posts the answers (if it is taking too long).
6) All disputes are settle by the Maestro (or by me, since it is my game/thread... lol)
7) Player with the most points at the end of a round becomes the Maestro for the next round.

Get it? Got it? Good! ...if not, pm me and I'll try to explain

Are we ready to begin?

I'll be the first Maestro.

Shit man, I couldn't probably name them tunes if I were actually listening to them...I think this game would best be played in a more concentrated group, as I seriously doubt you know they lyrics to Goodie Mob's first CD...

Cool idea tho...Gotta give it to you st4, you have the coolest ideas, just hard to put into motion on the site...

Yea, this idea is so hard since there are so many different artists and cultures represented here. It is a good idea though. Maybe you could split it into different genres and decades and area (USA, Europe, African, etc)
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Soren Kierkegaard

I don't know what's so tough.... Double D has two of them knocked out already...

This is much like the "guess that grill" thread..... It looks tough, but once you see the answer, you think, "hell yeah - why didn't i get that - it's obvious....".

Let me try this modification - 5 points for the Artist - 5 for the song title - (no bonus points for both). As I give hints - the points will drop (1 point for each hint). When it hits 0 points, I'll supply the answer.

1- Singer is from Iceland
2- DONE (Double D gets 10 points)
3- Their overall sound has been described as "a primal sound as distinct as it is disturbing"
4- Band Originally formed to fill an empty space on a bill at the first UK based "international punk rock festival"
5- One of the 2 artists in this duet married a member of his own fan club, Gemma O'Neill
6- DONE (Double D gets another 10 points)
7- Singer is also from Iceland
8- This "group" is a collaboration between a Baltimore-based DJ/producer and a rapper/singer from Atlanta who now resides in Baltimore
9- singer who founded Lilith Fair - DONE (Rimfire gets 8 points)
10- One of rock music's most successful and influential acts - DONE (Rimfire gets 8 points)

Points are now 4 per song title or artist

9 - Sarah McLachlan - Correct (4 points) - Fear - Correct (4 points)
10 - Pink Floyd - Correct (4 points) - Another Brick in the Wall! - Close, but you need to be more specific. There were several "parts" and this comes from only one of them.

QUOTE(RIMFIRE)Fun game.........where's my prize?? You have to win and as of now you only have 12 points to deepdiver's 20.....
