Two NBA officials say the Heat would like to move Derek Anderson and his $2.5 million contract in a trade for a point guard.
Jason Kapono ($1.1 million) and Michael Doleac ($3.13 million) could also be used as part of the package, but this trio isn't going to bring a point guard that would have any real value.

Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley and Joe Dumars were all inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday.

Nique made some headlines for getting there in a 40-foot RV with his week-old son in tow, while Barkley played comedian and role model during his speech. If you've been playing fantasy hoops since the early nineties, you're probably feeling a bit old and nostalgic right now.

Pau Gasol had successful surgery on his foot on Friday, but his return is a little farther away than we originally thought.

The new return date on Gasol is four months from now, which puts him at mid-January instead of around Christmas time. His fantasy value is dropping by the minute, which is a shame after last year's stellar season. (I play alot of fantasy sports, so I pay attention to their values)

Warriors rookie center Patrick O'Bryant broke his right foot in a scrimmage in Vegas last month and will be out four to six weeks.

He won't need surgery, but the missed training camp time is going to get his season off to a slow start. I wasn't expecting much from him before the injury, so this simply means that he probably can't be drafted at all in most fantasy leagues.

For threads like this, post them in the format AYHJA set forward earlier. At the very least put some sources
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Delonte West has a back injury that has kept him off the court this summer

"The things we did in the offseason have absolutely nothing to do with Delonte," Ainge said. "We think that Delonte can play multiple positions and any style." The back problem is interesting news and should be kept in mind when looking at drafting West this season. He should be available as a late-round value pick with Sebastian Telfair and Rajon Rondo in the fold, but I need to see the status of his back before taking him this year.
