I watch both the Daily Show and the Colbert Report whenever i get the chance to. I don't really pay attention to what's going on in politics or anything really related to the show, but I do like the sarcasm and just in-your-face bitch kind of jokes and so I was thinking, who is funnier?

I am in complete agreeance...... I don't really follow politics...so the jokes aren't as funny to me as they probably should be.....but I still laugh my ass off everytime I watch both shows....but I'm gonna say Colbert..

I've never seen Colbert that I can think of, I went w/JS...Not usually my kind of humor either way, but I do see funny bits in there...

I love both of them. Both are so hilarious. I really like Colbert's 'The Word' and his interviews, but I would have to say overall, Stewart is funnier
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

You guys are crazy. Colbert is way better. Stewart is funny, and he's a veteran, but I enjoy watching Colbert more.
Maybe I'm secretly hoping he's a Republican and he doesn't just play one on TV. lol

Plain and simple:
Jon Stewart is the voice of a cynical liberal. He has his moments, but most of his moments are under the pressure of being held to some of the same criticisms as news media.
while
Steven Colbert's is a parady of funadamental perversion of conservatism like Bill O'Reilly.
Steven Colbert is HANDS DOWN the funniest, because his satire is so damn straight-faced. Did you see what he made people do to wikipedia in the name of "truthiness?" just youtube him, and prepare to laugh out of your chair. Did you see back when Al sharpton wouldn't do an interview with Jon Stewart, and Steven colbert "represented him" that was some GREAT WORK. Hell, even his Mr. Goodwrench commercials were funnier than most of Jon Stewart's stuff.
To reiterate: Jon Stewart is likable and witty and funny; Steven Colbert is FUNNY.
Steven's comedy gold is in his obvious fallacies of logic, that make my head hurt sometimes. because i think some people actually may tsake him seriously, or worse think like him themselves.
I'm suprised you didn't include Lewis Black, who is like listening to George Carlin with a poli-sci degree.
his HBO special was a riot.
