Hey guys.

A friend of mine is having a hard time looking for a driver for her modem. Her modem is SiS 7013 s/w modem. From what I know, her laptop is running on a Win 98 se 2nd Edition. I told her to get a new one but she said it has a "sentimental meaning in her life". Yeah, whatever that means. I tried to look for it myself but without any luck. And now I turn to you guys ang gals for help. If you can point me in the right direction or if you have a copy of the driver, I would really appriciate it if you can post it her.

And she didn't approve of me posting her picture here. In her own words. "If I see my picture on anysite, I'll have your balls for dinner". I love my balls. I don't want to lose them. lol!

Thank in advance guys!

sentimental attachment to a laptop running win 98? Plus she dines on testicles for her evening nutritional intake, very peculiar indeed.

So far I have found this site which looks promising I will post back if I dig anything else up, but seeing as that OS is no longer even supported by Microsoft, this may be an uphill battle.

*edit*
here is a link to what I believe is exactly what you/she is looking for:
SIS 7013 driver win9xn4

just download, unzip and install

if that isnt it you can try this one
or even this one

if those don't cut it then try searching here

lol! I don't know what's up with her but there's no way you could take it away from her. Not even her boyfriend couldn't do anything about it. He tried to hide it once and the result, the guy puts ice on his nuts.

Thank you so much dude. I'll post if these will work. You just save my balls dude. I really appriciate it.

When in doubt, check the laptop manufacturer's website.
If any links are down, please send me a PM!

She can keep the laptop, just put a more modern OS on it...I recommend Windows 2000 Professional, as if its running Windows 98, that joint probably got shit specs...

I would advise her that trying to find drivers for that OS is like going to Ford and telling them that you want a piston for a Model T...Uphill battle is a nice way to put, "You're fucked if you're still using this OS"...

If you want 2K Pro, I can hook that up...it's still my favorite OS, and if it had clear type and snazzy icons, I'd still be using it...

I am sure it would also be more than capable of running a Xubuntu Linux installation also. Then the driver issue becomes MUCH easier to solve because hardware does not have the same planned obsolescence cycle that more mainstream (read microsoft) has.
