Four Florida players to enter NBA Draft

Gainsville, FL (AP) -- While Donovan stays at Florida, juniors Corey Brewer,
Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Taurean Green will all give up their final
year of college eligibility to enter the National Basketball Association.

The quartet and senior Lee Humphrey teamed to become the first starting
five in National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament history to
win back-to-back titles.

“They need to take the next step,” Donovan said at a televised
press conference with the players in Gainesville, Florida.

Hmm, of the 4, I only think that maybe Brewer will turn into a quality pro player, maybe Horford as well...I think they play EXCELLENT team ball, and that's what makes them seem special...I could be wrong, but I think that's the case...

I wish I knew...He has no shot range...But then again, he could very well turn into a defensive guy and a rebounder...On a team like say the Lakers, where he isn't asked to shoulder a scoring load, he could shine...

Who's to say he won't get in with another bunch of guys he gels with like at UF and becomes a force to reckon with? There are so many variables when one moves from college ball to the pros (B-ball, Football, Baseball...) it's impossible to really tell who's going to be a major star.

Yeah...I'm with DD.....Noah would have been the possible number one last year....and now he's going to be a dud?

I picture him as like AK-47....fills up the stat book...doesn't get 30 points...doesn't do anything spectacularly well....but does it all. He'll make a great garbage man.

I'll be honest I don't know the other ones apart from another cept Green is the guard right?

So it's hard for me to tell how they'll do....but which ever is the one that dropped like 30-35 in the 'ship will probably find himself a team relatively easily..

I wish, as I think most of us here do...that everyone would have stuck around for another year to further improve their team and draft status...not to mention...a 3-peat in today's age is unheard of....and would be great to at least see.

But then again...they do still have Lee Humphries....3-peat anyone?

Humphries is a Sr, so he won't be back...

And I'm not saying that he or any of the others can't be good, just looking at the bar...Just that none of them jump out to me as bonafied stars...Especially considering that any pick beyond 15 is virtually DL talent...

I mean, I wouldn't go that far, but the BEST career I think he can hope for is a defensive and rebounding standout a la Dennis Rodman...Serviceable, but not a starter...Brewer has a defensive rep, and that may get him further than any of them...He absolutely dominated the tourney n both ends...He can play D, and is capable of offense, he has a higher ceiling than the others...But they call could very well be at least decent...
