Must Have Software...

#1

Post by AYHJA »

I have several hundred programs on my computer...But there are some that I can't live without, or rather, I could live, but day 2 day computing would be fucked up without them..!

1. Firefox - It is simply, the best browser I have ever used, hands down...Coupled with extensions, it cannot be stopped...

2 Thunderbird - It is Outlook and Outlook express combined together on steroids bigger than Easter Eggs...

3. Systray X - This is a little program that came out before Windows XP arrived w/t abiliity to hide icons...Among other functions, it can also edit your PC's startup registry, useful for programs that load on boot, and have hidden the option to change that setting...

4. Firehand Ember - While it is far from Photoshop CS in terms of being an image editor, with the amount of images I have, it is the easiest to use to browse...I would give this nod to Thumbsplus, except it must create a database, which is faster, but takes up more hardrive space...This one is close...

5. Winamp - Even thought WMP10 isn't half bad, it will never be WinAmp...Simply the best, in terms of media management...

6. Nero - The best burning program suite available, shames all others...

7, Spybot - Keeps the adware off my system, and the Tea Timer notifies me of any system changes...Best there is at that...

1. i agree with you on firefox it hasnt been long since i have started using it and just loading it makes me wet in the pants area.

2. thunderbird i have read about it when getting firefox and thought it was interesting but never made the jump well until i read your little fucking commerical there. maybe u should be there spokens person mang.

3. systreay x i dont beleive i have ever used this bad mutter fooker but i have used something similar to it. forgot what the bitch was called oh well. actually now that i have reread NUMBER 3 i dont beleive the software i used was for these purposes you listed.

4. never even heard of firehand ember. and of course nothing fucking beats photoshop CS. i use a combination of photoshop CS and Macromedias' fireworks. although i know that if u need extansions on a lot of images changed rapidly u might want to try paint shop pro 8, has this little nice system that is nice and quick.

5. winamp i have been going back to this mother bitch on and off. just a few days ago i went back to winamp just cuz it have a bunch of great urls for songs. big variety of shit that you might like right at your finger tips. oh and im so amazed it even lets you watch programs like porn and stuff, recently discovered on my part /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

6. ya nero isnt bad. there arent to many programs that i go back and forth between when nero is around. this bitch ass can do a lot of things and a lot of things quick.

7. spybot??? now do you mean virus protection as well or just spyware cuz if we talking spyware here im about to give this bad mother fucking a go.

In addition to Spybot, I also use Ad-aware Se Personal.
For fucking around w/ pix I use a free program called PhotoFiltre (yes, spelled like this, the creator's French).

Ever want to download videos to find u can't b/c it's got that fucking mms:// protocol or whatever? Try Net Transport! Can download mms:// vids no prob!

I also use a free program that further cleans your pc, besides your normal Disk Cleanup...it's called AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Lite.

*Note: I have no affiliation, nor am I in anyway endorsing the preceding programs. Just try them out for yourself. This has been a Public Service Announcement.
