Excellent post RAUM, I took the liberty of locking and pinning the topic, so that we can discuss it and break it down of you want, as I'm sure you are well aware that much discussion and breaking down, is to be done...
So without further adieu, the first part, that deals with the ring itself...
QUOTEThe legend is that Solomon possessed a ring which was used to command the Legions of Heaven and Hell, in creating the Temple of Shekinah, in the formula YHVH. This legend is especially developed by Arabic writers, and it is from their writing that much of the Symbol of the Ring is given its magick Significance. The current story of the Ring is a synthesis of many texts, most of which are commonly available, but little understood. The ring was, according to sources, engraved with \"the Most Great Name of God,\" which was given to Solomon from Heaven. The Ring was partly Brass and partly Iron and solid Gold. With the brass part of the ring Solomon signed his written commands to the good Spirits an elementals, and with the iron part he signed his commands to the evil genii, or devils. The Brass is for Venus, and the Qabalistic World of Fire; Atziluth Ha-Olam. The iron is for the Planetary influence of Mars. The Ring being of solid gold means that he was, in his heart possessed of the integrity to not abuse the power he was given. The Arabic writers declare also that Solomon received four jewels from four different Angels that he set in the ring, so that he could control the four elements. Those Angels are the Four Arch-Angels, Uriel, Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. The word for †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™¢¢¬‚¦‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦¢‚¬Å“Jewels,†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬? however, is a word that could also mean †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™¢¢¬‚¦‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦¢‚¬Å“†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬?Symbol,†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬? as in the Twelve †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™¢¢¬‚¦‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦¢‚¬Å“Jewels of the Twelve Tribes (which are the Double Letters of the Hebrew Aleph-Beth).
My first question is probably as obvious as all, but again, such is to be expected...Why would Solomon, who I understand to be the wisest of kings, be given such a ring, when there are several other characters in biblical mythology, that seemed worthy of such a thing..?

the bearer of the ring
Solomon was given the ring, specifically by Michael, after praying night and day for a means by which to rid a young boy of a demon who was preying on him. This is what Michael tells Solomon;
"Take, O Solomon, king, son of David, the gift which the Lord God has sent thee, the highest Sabaoth. With it thou shalt lock up all demons of the earth, male and female; and with their help thou shalt build up Jerusalem. [But] thou [//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////must] wear this seal of God."

QUOTETemple of Shekinah
We have talked a bit about temples, you and I...But I don't think that we've ever talked about them in depth...What can you tell us about this temple..? Is this the "true" name of Solomon's Temple that held the holiest of holies..?
Forever corrupted by television, a demon upon first mention, will always evoke the same image in my mind, which I imagine is quite typical...But, I do know that vices can be considered demons, and other things that are detremental the temple that is our body and mind...What can you tell us about the demon that provoked the boy, and demonds in general...
You are holdin' my hand, right..? ')

Solomon's demons,.. part 1
Shekinah,.. shekinah is the active feminine principal of God; the rushing forth of the forces of manifestation. It is said that Eloah was separated from his bride Shekinah by the angels that experienced the "Fall." This is the legend that says that the angels "fell" for god created a helpmeet for man, but not them. So they "fell" upon the daughters of men. Thus, "The Fall" is a lust for the carnal pleasures, in a sense.
It was to the Hebrews that the care of Shekinah was given, and Solomon in particular. He indwelled her in the treasurehouse of images, beneath the Holy of Holies. The Temple of YHVH was the dwelling place of his bride.
The Temple's name is a secret, but it mans "Palace of the Holy of Holies." That secret, in arabic, is "Da'ar Jallal."
REGARDING DEMONS: ORNIAS
(Ayin Resh Nun Yod Aleph Shin) *root* ayin resh nun = Vigilance
The Demon that Solomon first compelled with Arra (His Ring) was Ornias (Not-Vigilant), called Oranael (The Vigilance of God) before his fall. He was a trusted Angel of the Order of the Powers, and a "Wingman" to Uriel. He was a watchman who flew patrols to ensure god's creation was safe from the angels who suffered the "Fall." He got too close to his job, however, and eventually, had to get him some of that woman flesh. Uriel killed his offspring in their mother's womb, stripped him of his wings *ouch* before he fell, and then cast Ornias to the Hell in the center of the Fifth Heaven. So, he is still in heaven, not yet in judgement of his crime, but he is limited in how he can travel from the Fifth Heaven, often travelling in open flames, or through the dreams of men, as a beautiful woman, for ease of travel. The advantage of being in the Hell in the Fifth Heaven is that he can possibly atone for his crime, by works such as he was bid to perform for Solomon, and not suffer the full fall.
Beware, however, if you approach Ornias thinking he is a woman as he is traveling, he will try and strangle you. He holds the lust men have for women as disgusting as any sin, probably because of what happened to him at the hands of Uriel.
He is not tame, and is not fully commited to seeking atonement. He is not a full demon, but he is not by any means safe to assume as good. He can physically choke his victims. When he is especially acting in accordance with his Original purpose (to preserve the integrity of the battlements of the Holy ones), he often appears with a lion, or as a lion himself. Most higher communication holds that his fall is inevitable...
he's one of them brothers they know is going to get himself dead, but as long as he has a pulse, he's still family. He was a power, a member of the ranks of the elite of Heaven... he is CREATED to be a warrior in the Wars that are in Heaven. do not underestimate him, if you seek him out.
He is subject to the Sign of Aquarius, thus more active in the times of Jan 22 to Feb 22. (thereabouts), and especially despises those in relationships with Virgos, as they are "profaners of the virgin". He has *other wings* at times, but these are always granted to him by whichever master he "serves" at a given time, and never gets to keep them. NEVER LET HIM KEEP WINGS IF YOU GRANT HIM SUCH. If HE HAS WINGS, DEMAND TO KNOW WHO GRANTED THEM TO HIM, and FOR WHAT SERVICE. (This led to major confusion as fallen angels were getting wings and appearing as angels all over the place in the 1600's.) He sometimes appears as a beautiful woman and "plays with men" in their dreams. This is a way he feeds, but beware you do not "come on too strong". The other way he feeds is to suck on the right thumb of children... He only feeds off of males.
Angelic Crimestoppers,
If you suspect Ornias might be feeding off you or your child, look to see if money is missing AND UNACCOUNTED FOR, as he has a habit of stealing "little" money, which is sort of a mischievous hobby. He is a currently a mercenary, and works for the highest bidder, and is easily manipulated. In Solomon's case, he was working for Beelzebul. Solomon got him to cut the stones of the walls of the Temple, and in fact had him take the ring to compel various other demons to service.
At any rate, a well-timed and well-placed call to Uriel will get him to do anything, including get lost.

Tangent after tangent...
Why is it, that when ever we talk, mention is made of stuff that I've never touched on before...Heh...Man, this is definitely going to be a solo surf...
Before I fly into another tangent, what school of thought is this..? This is definitely information that isn't readily available, isn't taught in schools, or breaking best seller records at your local Barnes and Noble...How does one obtain such seemingly pricessless information...?
It is lucky that this is here, on this forum, as a recap is but a mouse scroll away...So, we can go off into as many tangents as necessary...In order for me to capitalize from this last bit of information, I first need to be able to syncronize our definition, or at least in the context of conversation...
QUOTEShekinah,.. shekinah is the active feminine principal of God; the rushing forth of the forces of manifestation.
Maybe...In a seperate thread, we should define God in the most complex way possible, and from there, develp and simple understanding...And only then, I think will we be able to further this discussion...This may very well be over the heads of many of our members...I say a little manna be dropped, and we start with a good foundation, which as I said, is worthy of another thread...
adiriel...Care to define God..?

the source
Its a book that was rejected from the Bible called the "Testament of Solomon". If it were in your Bible, you'd probabaly read it more.
It was found and translated to Greek in approximately 3 AD. It was translated to the English (finally) by F. C. Conybeare, in Jewish Quarterly Review[//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////I], October, 1898. i can produce a full copy of this translation to anyone who wants one. Heck, i might put it up here.
There is another (more recent) translation in The Old Testament Pseudepigrapha, volume 1, Edited by James H. Charlesworth, Doubleday, 1983, p. 935 ff. This is not near as accurate as it would make you think.
It was rejected from the Bible because it openly names Demons and Angels, and stands as an amazing text on magick. It purports to be the actual testement of Solomon. and at the very least is one of the oldest of such accounts, and is at least as old as anything else like the Song of Songs. Whether or not it is, many of the Angels and Demons in it are not mentioned elsewhere, and are specifically "vibrant" focuses of meditation.
Not all things worth finding are hard to find...
as far as defining "God", what's the point? there are too many definitions. they all got grouped in the English, but the Hebrew is not lost to us.
Specifically, the YHVH Tzabaoth, or Lord of Hosts, is the god Solomon beseeches. God, as vice-regent of the angels, who are his emanations that illustrate his will in the world and minds of men, and frustrate the demons to compell them to recognize the authority of man, as the chosen of god to be his dwelling place. this is the "God" that Solomon called upon to indwell the Temple.
does this clarify?

Yes, and I'd love to see that book posted...I'm going to figure out a way that we can embed pdf files right in the posts, and do so...But, of course, what always works, is creating a thread, locking it so it can't be posted to, and use this excellent phpbb platform to create the book for us, using the subject lines as chapter points for easy access, and copy and paste methods...
If you have the book in any form, I will be happy to do just that...But, back on topic...
OK, would you believe me if I said my definition of God was the same as yours..? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Next point...
QUOTEHe got too close to his job, however, and eventually, had to get him some of that woman flesh.
In the version of the bible that I have, there was mention of a few angels that came down and couldn't resist the pooh nanny...Which, by the way, speaks volumes for men in general, and women as well...And angels too, for that matter...But at any rate, they were called "Nephilium" if I am not mistaken, and their offspring with women were the source of giants and extremely smart individuals...
I would like to hear more background on their story as well...I recall a story too, of a woman that tricked an angel, one of the very first ones to come down to earth and peep some GOSTOSA...Do you know it..?

From THE FATE OF THE FALLEN ANGELS (an ancient Qabalistic text.)
When the angels came to earth, and beheld the daughters of men in all their grace and beauty, they could not restrain their passion. Shemhazai saw a maiden named Istehar, and he lost his heart to her. She promised to surrender herself to him, if first he taught her the Ineffable Name, by means of which he raised himself to heaven. He assented to her condition. But once she knew it, she pronounced the Name, and herself ascended to heaven, without fulfilling her promise to the angel. God said, "Because she kept herself aloof from sin, we will place her among the seven heavens, that men may never forget her,"
Shemhazai and Azazel, however, were not deterred from entering into alliances with the daughters of men, and to the first two sons were born. Azazel began to devise the finery and the ornaments by means of which women allure men. Thereupon God sent Metatron to tell Shemhazai that He had resolved to destroy the world and bring on a deluge. The fallen angel began to weep and grieve over the fate of the world and the fate of his two sons. If the world went under, what would they have to eat, they who needed daily a thousand camels, a thousand horses, and a thousand steers?

CODEThere is also a legend that Asmodeus, Grand Duke of Hell, once obtained possession of the ring and threw it into the sea, and that Solomon was thus deprived of his power until he discovered the ring inside a fish This story also has an Arabic source, but it is most likely that the story of Solomon†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢s ring being thrown in the water and found afterward inside a fish is derived from the story of the ring of Polycrates, Grand Ruler of Samos; a story which is related by Herodotus in †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™¢¢¬‚¦‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦¢‚¬Å“The Histories.†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬?

It's so much better with the devil you know...
ok, so just so you know,..
All of the heirarchies of Hell, as seperate from Heaven, that exist are simply commenatries on the shortcomings of several Christian Empires.
The best i can offer you of heaven is that the punishments of those therein are available for the veiwing audience of the 5th and 2nd heavens. The deatails require that there be no tequila in my system, which might be a few days from now....
