Here are the front runners...Who do you guys like..?

Man, to me, its got to be Tebow...Dude is putting up NCAA football Numbers like my created player in the dynasty mode...I like Dixon too, and I think that if Oregon wins out he'll win the award...But if they loose the award will go to a sophomore for the first time in its history...

For me, Dennis Dixon gets it and the reason he is getting it over Tebow is how Oregon is doing overall compared to Florida. Also, Dixon has performed better in pressure games and situations than Tebow has. Those are 2 things that really make someone worthy of a Heisman

I don't recall Tebow playing poorly tt, especially in big games, which games are you talking about..? Did you see dude score 7 TD's last week..? LoL...

In Florida's 3 Losses:

By 3 Pts vs Auburn - 20-27, 201, TD [Passing] | 19-75, TD [Rushing]
By 4 Pts vs LSU - 12-26, 158, 2 TD [Passing] | 16-67, TD [Rushing]
By 12 vs Georgia - 14-22, 236, TD [Passing] | Neg 15, 2 TD [Rushing]

He's only been picked off 5 times the entire year...And playing hurt the past 3? games or so...Those numbers are better than solid in a win, the fact that they came in losses speaks to me more volumes about their defense than anything...Win or loose, the kid is terribly consistent...Dixon threw 2 picks in their week 5 loss to Cal and only rushed for 17 yards and TD...He had 300+ passing, but its debatable on whether or not his play affected the outcome...

This is a big week for Oregon though...Long road to finish, they've got 3 games ahead that are not going to be easy victories...Everyone is looking to cook up some upset pie...Florida has Florida Atlantic and FSU remaining, hard to see them loosing either of those games...

If Oregon wins out, Dixon gets the hardware...But as of right now, Tebow has 42 total touchdowns...Better passing and rushing numbers...No telling what the total will be after the next two games...Dixon has 28 total and 3 rough games ahead...We shall see..!

Oh shit....you're making me pull out the stats:

Tebow in Florida's loss to LSU he had 158 yds with 2 TD and 1 INT with 67 yds on the ground. LSU has been Florida's toughest opponent all year. And while he didn't choke, he didn't have significant numbers.

Against Georgia he had -15 yds rushing while he averages 71.8 ypg on the ground. Georgia gives up an 129 rusing ypg. That's not what an elite runner should do against a defense that doesn't defend the run.

Dixon against Cal, Oregon's toughest game and only loss, threw for 308 yds with a TD and 1 rushing TD. He did threw 2 INT, but if you saw the game, they weren't crucial INT's because Cal went 3-and-out after both of those.

He threw 4 TD's against the #5 team in the nation and even was a huge threat against USC. While his numbers may be down against USC (158 passing yds and 76 rushing yds), he took so much attention off of Jonathan Stewart that he rushed for 2 TD's against a team that never has been easy to run on.

While numbers tell one story, the other part is how the teams perform overall, like you said. I'm also a little biased because I'm a huge Oregon fan and have been my entire life but I do believe that Dixon is the best college player this year

A little bias..? lol...And of course you know I'm gonna make you pull stats...That's my game..! ;)

Florida's defense lost that game against LSU...Les Miles went for it on 4th down like a billion times...LSU was down the whole game until the 4th quarter...The D gave up 2 TD's...

All things considered, if the Georgia game is his worst game of the season, he still rocks out...14/22 (63%), 236 yards and a touch w/no picks in the air isn't exactly what I call wiffing in the big game...And despite the negative yards rushing, he still put up 2 scores...Did I mention he had a busted shoulder..?

Actually, you wanna know how they lost that game..?

Knowshon Moreno ran wild...33-188 3TD's...When a team puts up 30 points and can't win, that's the defense that's wiffing, not the offense...I've seen Dixon a couple of times this year and he's NICE...Like I said, if Oregon wins out, and he gets the hardware, its definitely not a bad choice...Both of them are critical to his teams success...But if Oregon looses, Tebow will get it, and should...

Well shit Ty, I think you might just be right. After that embarrassing loss to Arizona (even if Dixon and Jonathan Stewart were out), Dixon might not win in. This game did show how valuable he is though. When he was in for the first quarter, the Ducks were raping the Cats. They got 185 yds on 19 plays and didn't have that many yards for the rest of the game. Leaf is a fucking idiot and is as good as a college player as his brother was pro. If anything, this does show how much Dixon means to the Ducks

Yeah, I was wondering about that...So, the Leaf kid IS the brother of Ryan...Damn...He was the shit in college, I was a big fan...But man, when he got to the NFL..? Def. one of the biggest busts ever...I wonder what he's doing now... :?:

Dixon is just a fucking athlete man...I bet if you put him anywhere on the field, he'll make plays...At least this years race is better than last years, I don't think anyone besides OSU fans gave a damn about Troy winning it...He seemed to get the award by default, as opposed to guys putting up blinding numbers like the few years past...

Tebow, like Dixon, is probably better than half the reason why their teams are winning...Oregon has the better record, equal if not better competition this year in the Pac-10 to the SEC...This is a two horse race definitely...Sucks for Hart, who is an amazing back...And McFadden...

I hope Oregon wins, cause if they loose, we will have a lame ass BCS championship, I promise you...I don't want to see Oklahoma vs LSU...Two words...

Boise State... :laff:

Dude, I just realized what you wrote...I thought that was a Typo for Cal, lol....I just went to the sports pages to see if there were any interesting articles, and damn..! Front page drama..!

Holy shit..! Down goes Frazier..!

However, I'm not gloating...But at this point if FL finishes w/3 losses, and Oregon w/2...Tebow almost HAS to get it...I'm looking for him to put up big numbers this weekend...Scary shit that the dude is only a Soph...At any rate, he can win it this year, so what...

Hardware is going to Austin next year...Ain't that right Colt..?
