Every summer, a ton of movies come out, and there's always that one movie that you mean to go see, but, never do..?
I wanted to peep out Troy, it looked cool enough, and I've probably seen worse...Anybody see it and want to drop their $0.02..?

Yes, I saw it. I personally really enjoyed it. The scene hardly ever changed which is always a set up for boredom, but the story and the actors made it incredible and I would give it a big thumbs up. I'm sorry you didn't see it in theaters. I don't think seeing it at home will have the same effect. Tell me what you think when you see it!

ya fuck them movies and their shit. i love watching shit on my computer only. the dvd player works great. cuddle up with the women in bed and start watching... my only problem is i never see any of the movie :shock:

What a spectacular piece of crap. Hate to spoil it, but you know what Achilles secret to victory is, not that he is a demi-god, but that he moved to Shang Tsu Nhai and studied Taoist Sword play. I would accuse him of studying kenjitsu with a kensiru from Japan, but after all, this is the Trojan War, so there is no Japan yet,.. and barely any unification in China. My Asian history might be a bit off, but I guarantee you that Achilles Pitt has been to China more than he has visited Olympus.
Helen was not all that; as an actress or a woman who could launch a thousand ships. She could prolly get a cab in the middle of the Richmond on a Saturday night, but not a warship, much lest a fleet.
I did enjoy the battle between the kung-fu master Achilles and Hector, but I regret to say that I think Hector could have taken Achiles easier than Ajax, who literally had the most rediculous death in the whole damn movie. He walked into the death that hector held for him, and it was so crappy to see such an unplausible and "mad-cap wacky unlikelyhood" as Ajax's death, than seeing Hector being a good warrior and just whoopin the tar out of him.
Also, I am tired of hearing these women, all who might be Lisa Gerrard, or clones of her as these ambiguous public cryers on soundtracks. I haven't heard many, but i want it stopped before it becomes a popular as having a preview of a movie narrarated as the guy who was optimus prime from the Transformers. That woman's moans destroyed the whole damn atmosphere of the movie. She was literally the most annoying public cryer I have ever heard. And what was that crappy Disney "don't let the cat catch us little meeses" diddy while the Greeks were sneaking out of the Horse? In fact, the whole damn soundtrack blows. All they needed was the sounds of shields being hit with spears and men dying in anguish. I hate soundtracks, and can't wait until dvd's give you an option of watching a movie without the background music.
Other than that, the movie was still bad, but the company I had was great, and the whole late show theater was full of chuckles and semiregular calls of "Tro-Jan MANN!".

you know i heard that Hector didnt mistakenly slice Achillies cousins throat. Supposly what happened is he knew it was his cousin and killed him, and THEN DRAGED HIS BODY AROUND, which in turn Achillies did to him. But good ol' Hollywood always fucks everything up.

TROY might give you Alpha males a good excuse to look at decidedly androgynous pretty boys and not feel "guilt". The accents are an excellent touch, kinda like that "Transilvanian" accent Kate Beckinsale had in Van Helsing (another gem).
