The Third Eye

A school of music that studies the rhythm of nature, a school of fashion that studies the elegance of the Universe, a school of design that studies the architecture of the ancients, a school of philosophy that studies the time-tested Truth.

You might need to explain a little.... What do you mean by our third eye?
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

That does help a little - thanks for the link.

I have not opened my Third Eye. Is this something that everyone is able to do? What are you seeing Jig?

What do i see? too much perhaps. well all my life I've seen spirits here & there. usually in olde cribs. i have always known of the earthbound dead. i used to think in comparison to the living their numbers were comparatively minuscule. Not so.
Since having my third eye opened, i see them everywhere. i also see elementals (spirits of the earth, air, fire & water). i see what are referred to in western culture as gnomes/little people & faeries (i now know a couple of incidents which took place 12 years ago where i saw both parties within 2 days of each other was no hallucination ). i see people's auras which represent their energy levels, the current/dominant emotions & a third human shaped aura which are our spirit guides (to catholics known as guardian angels) who function as our conscience & present to us the best choices for our actions great & small, though ultimately the final decisions are our choice due to our free will. some people have more than one. our guides are those who have passed on into the light & have been sent back assigned to an individual. some come voluntarily as i understand it,which might explain why some folks have multiple. they are usually ancestors. sometimes total strangers. 11 years ago from xmas morning '96 until late May '97 i was given the gift of seeing everyone's guides as more than auras & was in contact with mine through conversational telepathy & i could see everything about him except his face which was blurred (though everyone else's guides were totally clear to me). he told me he wasnt permitted to divulge his identity by higher forces. it was a fantastic ability to have. i could do no wrong in that nearly six month period in regards to my life. then i fucked up and did something i shouldn't have and my gift was gone instantly.
Anyhow i digress,i used to believe cemeteries had a few souls lingering there. not so. they are crawling with the departed. they ask for your help when they know u can see them. i have to bike through one every day. 2 nights ago i had the spirit of a young woman with half her face gone & clinging to the spirit of her baby try to grab me. its so sad. all you can do is ask them to let go,accept & pass into the light. half her face represented the state her soul was in. she's addlebrained.i reckon a good quarter to a half of folks who pass linger on our plane for quite some time before moving on now. its kinda sad. makes me treasure life all that much more.seems like a good deal of the population has trouble letting go in life, so maybe in death its no different.my uncle goes there once or twice a week to help those who want it. not all of them want it though.he told me one cannot insist to them to move on. you can only suggest it. even in mortal death free will prevails.some are so fixated with the flesh n staying here they waltz about ignoring these tiny shafts of light that u see above most of them.so free will until the very end and even after it appears.hence why ghosts of the dead can only hurt u or possess u if u allow it. or in the case of children if their parents allow it. hence why so many kids get done in cos their olds don't believe which is the same as allowing it.only those never human can inflict harm. elementals etc. they have free will too. only in possessing u do the free will rules apply to them.i saw my uncle converse with a fire elemental who had fallen for a human woman. it took him a long time to get it to leave her n her family alone. their concept of love is different by the way. the elementals in a lot of cases co-inhabit many of our houses and places we live. they were usually there first. sometimes untold number years beforehand. they can communicate to you via dreams & give you a glimpse into possible future events or via hand gestures or their own language which isn't human but the gist is made clear.the 'gnomes' usually reside in our gardens if dwelling in a populated area outside of nature. the faeries in trees of all kinds & in vacant lots. i have also found out there are natural portals to other realms. mirrors placed strategically can function as 'artificial' portals' for the deceased and other entities. so there you have a more than basic rundown of what i have seen & have learned recently. would you want the same ability?!?

I would...

I have long felt that my purpose on earth is greater than what I have accomplished thus far...I have never read the third eye concept as such, but I am not at all unfamiliar with the things it talks about...I would most certainly invest energies into studying, developing, and then unlocking such a gift...

How did you start..?

well for starters,Ube, i'd find someone who is mad experienced in that state of consciousness to open yours for you. need i tell you to make certain he/she has the ability to close it again on the huge possibility you do not want to permanently remain that way. my best advice would be to find a native american shaman as they are not the type to move around & u can always find most of them sticking to the same place. their methods as i understand are only slightly different from those of Polynesian or southeast Asian shamans. in my case i was put into a semi-conscious 'trance' state & guided through it step by step verbally. then when the 'eye' was about to open it felt like someone shot a bullet made of liquid from within my brain through my forehead/brow. i was then taken out into the forest and made to slowly adjust to my new state. so if you meet someone who has to run off after the eye has been opened & not guide/babysit you,do not do it. it'd surely fuck your head up.
