Dirt Bikes

#1

Post by AYHJA »

Have any of you ever owned/road a dirt bike..? I get the impression they're not as dangerous as street bikes and 2x's as fun...Plus, I know that they make small bikes, so its something me and Ra can do a little later on...I've never rode a motorcycle before, so I thought those may be good places to start...

Any suggestions..?

My first bike was a 60cc Yamaha Mini-Enduro. I was seven. I ran that thing until I was a teenager. I did have the benefit of a father who raced every weekend to teach me. The biggest problem with a dirt bike is having someplace to ride it. Dirt bikes require space; fields, trails, private property is off limits without permission, and public property often has restrictions. Before you buy a couple of bikes, research where you can ride first. Ask local dealers for information and good contacts.

Good luck and enjoy.

What would you recommend for a beginner HL65..? I grew up in the country and we always had 3 and 4 wheelers as a kid, so space and places to ride it are the least of my worries...I'm more worried about being a grown ass dude riding something and falling off of it cause I got too much under my seat for my experience...Obviously I'm going to have a few boo boos here and there, but what would you suggest I start with..? My kid about about 6, so something 60cc's or less would be good for him then, yeah..?
