Oh, man! Way to prove that she wasn't up to snuff and getting her there was a tough one! I mean look at what EVERYONE who supports her says. "She needs time". Did you see Obama when he started? He was laughable.

Let's look at an instance of her going rogue, from your article:

Tensions like those within the McCain-Palin campaign are not unusual; vice presidential candidates also have a history of butting heads with the top of the ticket.

That McCain is almost universally hated by the unholy alliance of Neocons and religious extremist that have such a stranglehold on the Republican Party today. Without pandering to "the base", McCain had no shot. Even right-wing pundits have admitted that Sarah Palin was chosen because she appeals to the evangelicals. McCain won the presidential primary with the support of moderate conservatives, independents, and veterans. The far right split their vote between Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Fred Thompson.

I don't personally feel Sarah Palin is a monster, but her religious views and obvious lack of understanding of the world is disturbing. She mentioned at a recent rally that Barack Obama wants to end the war in Iraq just when "victory is so close". I would like to have the opportunity to ask her what she considers "victory" and to explain in detail the conditions she sees in Iraq that make her so confident that she can make that statement.

I assume that leaving a united and democratic Iraq is what most would term as victory. How can that be achieved without addressing Kurdish nationalism? Kurds are not ethnically related to the Arabs of the south.
Is there any attempt being made to reconcile the Sunni/Shia rift caused by decades of Sunni dominated Baath Party rule and hundreds of thousands of Shia murdered by the Baathists under Saddam?
What about the corruption and Shia dominance of the government?
What happens if the U.S. pulls out and the extremist elements begin a religious civil war? Where does the loyalty of the Iraqi Army lie?
This is a fragile, fledgling democracy in a country that never really was a country to begin with. Ethnic, tribal, and religious differences that are thousands of years old are going to be difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. It may literally take 100 years to make this thing work. Is a bloodbath inevitable if the U.S. pulls out? How long can the U.S. afford to stay?
It's not a simple issue of defeating "evil doers"; it's about the will of these people to unite despite their differences and deep hatred and to make a go of a democratic nation.

If Sarah Palin could show a reasonable understanding of these issues then she deserves to be VP.

To clarify, I agreed on the monster tag for Palin in regards to her ego & ignorance on how shit is. Now she's had a taste of the national spotlight , she will not disappear into obscurity if the lose the election. If they win, God help us all.
