The *ACTUAL* Troopergate investigation CLEARS Palin

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – A report has cleared Gov. Sarah Palin of ethics violations in the firing of her public safety commissioner. The report, released Monday, said: "There is no probable cause to believe that the governor, or any other state official, violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with these matters." It was prepared by Timothy Petumenos, an independent counsel for the Alaska Personnel Board.

A separate legislative investigation recently concluded that Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, abused her office by allowing her husband and staffers to pressure the public safety commissioner to fire a state trooper who went through a nasty divorce from Palin's sister.

Palin fired Walter Monegan, but denies his dismissal was related to the trooper.

Alaska Personnel Board investigations are normally secret, but the three-member board decided to release this report, citing public interest in the matter given Palin's status as a candidate for national office. Election Day is Tuesday.

hmm, guy she fired isn't happy with results because it doesn't fly with unofficial first investigation that found her guilty, but said she acted within her rights and duties.. big surprise there..

(and in the tedious defense of fairness...yah, "but what about obama" - i would love to see his past to be able to debunk claims made of his past. i know they aren't all true, but if you like facts and details, obama can't be your candidate, cause you can't personally scrutinize him. The media has decided to save him from his own words, his own actions, and his own associations.)

the biggest question unwrapped about Palin was whether or not she ate some moose from the trooper that she tried to get fired... and for McCain, the keating five and his own failed marriage, both which he admits and exposes in his own biography, and admits his failings... if only through inaction.

there was so much bullshit out about her. none consistent with her record. i did not see one person who went and looked at her record and let it speak for itself. America trusted the media. oh well.

I admit her drive these last days cost her my vote today. I am the first to say I like her in principle *simple, self sufficient, loving family, makes her own way and lets others benefit too*, but I am not fond of mouthfuls of vinegar. a good wink and poke show of wit is fine... but i am not a hatemonger. she seemed to cater to them, though she was not like that in the talks where she was supporting Ron Paul.

And unfortunately she pushed the wrong issues, and her rhetoric was simply reinforcement that served to remind people of the comparisons obama was making between McCain and Bush.

Are you kidding - when they ripped her character apart - McCain's campaign went defensive against everything from her wardrobe to her kid. Be honest, they were saying Trig was her daughters the day before the RNC. and that stuck until the end, as i see people who still beleive that, and demanded to see her medical records to see her pregnancy.

i mean the critics of her that never gave her the chance before they started fueling internet fires against her.
