Did your vote matter?

#1

Post by raum »

mine did!

My DEMOCRATIC Congressman won! woo-hoo. Conservative Democrats.

My LIBERTARIAN state treasurer didn't. boo. Berlie was clearly over-qualified but anti-partisan conservative. Why have a professor of math and economics hold the money?

My NONPARTISAN Presidential Candidate did win. God bless. I did not vote for Barack Obama. I voted for the Will of the American People. Let us hope she reigns forever.

I still want to see our President Elect's budget, and ask him some questions. McCain came to Bensalem, PA and I got to address mine directly to him, through lead questions. I didn't feel confident about them. I did see they were not conservative though.

I looked at my own posts here - saying people should have a sense of duty.
I looked at my own posts here- saying people should have the right to life.
I looked here where i personally called for stay of execution for tookie.

I looked at my own professed testament. Neither candidate can offend it. McCain was strangely absent from my posts as of late, as you noticed... that is because though he said things that were true, the hate that was pushing him must be abolished.

Now, I will as I have always swear to uphold my Constitution, defend our rights, and celebrate the Light, Life, Love, and Liberty which is my own profession.

But President elect Barack Obama, I will be watching you. Neither you nor your major opponent ever once demonstrated to me integrity of a presidential calibur. Your last opportunity was last night. I will detail it here, clearly.

Hawaii's laws stipulate the absentee ballots of the dead are not to be counted if they die before Election Day. They are to be disposed of without being opened. Had he requested his grandmother's ballot not be opened, I would respect him. If he had requested her ballot, and vowed to frame it UNOPENED in the oval office, I would have voted for him directly, and said "THAT is what they see in him."

That is the integrity I expect of the president. I will settle for nothing less than that as the character of a man I personally elect to that most esteemed office.

Wow, listening to McCain speak just now, I have to give him props...He was extremely gracious, calmed down a crowd that was obviously a little less postured than him about this whole thing...

I still don't know if the senator I voted for won...

yes, and despite the pitiful attempts to sway the election - i feel my candidate won.

I never felt that way in 2004.

NEVER VOTED FOR A BUSH. Would have voted for the McCain that ran against Bush, if i could vote in the Primaries...

but not the one that pandered to hate these last few days.

That was why there was no question for McCain.
He was ruled out by his own supporters.

Almost voted for Nader again. If you go left, you go FAR LEFT.

McCain did not stay the course of his successful image.

As for finances - that is settled...

As for why i badger obama is because - if not for the loopholes of progressive govt I keep mentioning, I'd love to see it. There is a reason I know people on the far left. i study govt like chess... not like football.

Obama is still a kid... and I will not ignore he won because of people who have no experience of politics. but ever since i met Ty, my good friend, i have worked to educate people, and ANYTHING that serves to educate people to facts - however tedius- WITHOUT TRYING TO FORCE THEIR THINKING - that is my conviction.

I really hope Obama figures a way to make it work. then maybe we can move to considering this a liquid planet with several areas of a solid core breaking its surface. but he has a lot to learn, and hopefully not from Biden.

Ty, you still got that little red book I gave you? You alone here may not what i really profess.

sorry to hear that darklighter. I bet McCain becomes a foreign policy advisor, and along with Sentor Specter - another fine man who is affliated with the republican party will hopefully serve as a power check to the democratic senatorial majority.

NEVER STAY HOME AND NOT VOTE!!!

Vote, if not any man, for an ideal as permanent a fixture of the glory of this nation.

The Will of the People.

(looking forward to the one election that everyone votes for the will of the people)

every vote matters, whether it is for the winner or not... the margin of the popular vote is a part of the message to the succesful candidate...

...as for me, I'm already campaigning for Romney in '12...

I'm good with Obama, but I think Mit would have been a better choice than either candidate...

God Bless America - I Love this Country and Democracy
