What happens when you die?
angels, demons, ghosts, different levels of heaven, re-incarnation..
all of this seems to get mention..but seems to contradict itself at times..
what happens when you physically die (preferrablly a raum question /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />).

you ain't seen nuthin yet!
DeEje,
what happens when you "die" is all dependent upon what you do until then. if you don't do much here, you don't have much to work with "there." The "Order" of Astral existence dissolves pretty quickly without much focus. The More focus you have, the more solid your chances are of even finding out what lies beyond.
It's a different kind of world, ome of these are not so defined as as everyone is led to believe.
First of all, remember this, THIS WORLD is a proving ground. Develop within yourself the God by contact with The Lord of the Universe that will remain when you "die". And that sacred part of you will become as a God unto a world.

I for sure believe in reincarnation...we all come back as different things and I believe we also stay with the same people...just with different relations you know.

I believe that you go to one of two places when you die. You either go to Heaven or Hell. It depends on if you know God or not.
I know that most of you think this is a pretty stupid point of view, but deal with it...it's what I believe

I'm going to answer this in two parts because I came in with one attitude and am leaving with a different one.
I believe that when we die we cease to exist.
The thought that everyone, when they die, ends up in either heaven or hell, to me seems to be a convienient way of
explaining what CAN'T be explained. Please don't interpret this as my poo-poo'ing someone else's belief system.....it just
doesn't work for me. Hence, my first response which was deleted (rightfully)...."We eventually begin to stink".
Raum, to be honest with you, I hadn't ever heard of the \"Astral Voyage\" but the more I read on it, the more intrigued I become on this prospect. It seems to me, to be a very "real" description of what could happen after you "die".
You said:

My interpretation of that is that we should live life to it's fullest, experiencing as much as we can in both our physical and spiritual life. My "spiritual life" happens to center around nature.
which leads into:
if you don't do much here, you don't have much to work with "there." The "Order" of Astral existence dissolves pretty quickly without much focus.
I have thought about this a lot since I read it and it really hits me somewhere I can't explain. I don't want to sound overly dramatic but it does point me in a direction that I had never been before and I thank you for it.
You will hear more from me on this!

that's very interesting rim. I'll have to look into that one.

"Astral Voyage"
rim,
I had never heard of that site, but William Michael Sprague, the author of that site sounds familiar. Look at it, but don't think I was endorsing it.
The one thing in what I scanned that makes me wary is:
As my experiences mount I find I am living in a waking world with a gradually increasing feeling of having traveled extensively and constantly. I also note a growing separation between my concept of reality and a large number of people around me.
However, it could just be a poorly written self-congradulation.
His speculations as to the continued Astral at the point of Death are not identical to my own, nor what I have been trained for, or train others for.
vertical,

My Take...
If I may offer it, here is my definition of Astral...
There is a world just above the one that we live in, that encases this one, and all others beneath it...
It is the playground of the Gods, in my book, for in it, the rules of existence change...For one, your physical flesh can't enter the astral plane...It is a privledged space, and reserved only for those that are really in touch with their consciousness...
I myself have been trying, I can visit, but I cannot stay yet...And when I have been, it was not of my own power...I have dedicated a portion of my life trying to get there, as the hard part is realizing that it is where I was supposed to be all along...
The astral is where shit is kicked up a notch or two, and you get in the game...Always wonder how you woke up feeling like you just got your ass kicked, but you knew that before you went to bed you felt fine..?
That, in a nutshell, is the astral...

I feel like I've been reincarnated from someone else on numerous occasions, I know what I want or like, or how to do things before I ever see them or experience them myself, and deja vu used to be my best friend. Explaination anyone?
Maybe this deserves its own thread, but I don't think many people would visit it, and it ties in with this thread well.
