But honestly, WTF was he thinking? Have you seen his wife Elin Nordegren? Did I mention she is a fucking TWIN????? Did he really think he could get away with it just because of his money? So my biggest complaint is that he would whine about it all... I mean, I know it must be tough to be so much in the public eye and to have your dirty laundry hung out for public viewing. Get over it. It is what you signed up for.

When his golf career is over, Tiger will be remembered along with other great "sport changing" athletes: Babe Ruth and Jackie Robinson, Billie Jean King and Pelé, Michael Jordan and Bill Russell, Michael Phelps and Mark Spitz; Athletes who transcended records and statistics to redefining their respective sports.

In truth, if there is another golfer who fits that description, it is not Jack Nicklaus, whose record of 18 professional major titles is the Holy Grail that Woods has pursued since turning pro in 1996 (he has won 14), but Arnold Palmer. Even though Palmer won "only" seven major titles, he was the player who made golf wildly popular in this country, who attracted television and corporate America to the sport. And now it has been Woods taking it to another level.

He has done so by playing the game as well as anyone has ever played it. He isn't simply brilliant, he is thrilling. He has a great flair for drama and, like Palmer, always wears his heart on his sleeve on the golf course. But the similarities to Palmer end the moment Woods walks off the 18th green. Palmer embraced his fame. Woods embraces Privacy. and Now that we have some small glimpse into what goes on in private, can you blame him? Uhmmm... yes, I can.

In 1997, at the first Masters in which Woods played as a professional, he complained to Palmer. "I can't be a normal 21-year-old," he said. "I have to sign autographs all the time, talk to the media after I play, do photo shoots for my sponsors. It just never ends." Palmer responded, "You're right, Tiger, you aren't a normal 21-year-old. Normal 21-year-olds don't have $50 million in the bank. If you want to be normal, give the money back." Fast forward to now and make it a billion.

If he wanted the privacy, he should have followed Palmer's advice and given the money back. Anyone who loves the game can get out on a weekend for some golf and I would have gladly golfed with him any weekend. But he chose fame and fortune over privacy... he just couldn't live the way you need to when in the public eye.

He will always be a great athlete... but he'll never get past the stain on his personal character. He will never again be a great role model.

But to note: Tiger didn't "think" he was above any of this. He still hasn't actually admitted to cheating. He's just a freak; he was a nerd when he was younger, probably never got any nookie, then he became a "prodigy" golf-pro, garnered fame, and with that, women just flinging themselves at him. Who among us would say no to our pick of the hottest in the kitty litter who just want to hook up with you because you are the most famous sportsman in the world?! His mistake (other than never giving up the poon after marrying his Nordic Uber-Goddess) was getting married in the first place. Sure, he may have wanted kids, but if he's stupid enough to have "ho's in different area codes", (would he really think not one of them brag or namedrop?) he's not mature enough, even civil enough, to raise kids. I'm not calling him a bad father, but he certainly is careless to how this portrays his distraught wife and oblivious young'ens.

Tiger's just a donk. And a freak. Nobody chastises George Clooney, do they? Why? 'Cause he knows he's not ready to settle for just one woman ("hole", in your terms) and just free-wheels with the hottest chicks on the planet.

What a fool. Honestly, this could turn out to be the scandal of the decade. Man, nearly everybody in the media are sighing a huge relief that this story didn't break in Jan. or Feb. ... it'd get lost in the other 119 months that would follow up of the 2010 decade.

Exactly. This was before (then after) the National Enquirer was rumoured to have a publication stating Tiger had been cheating with the OG#1, Rachel U.

From what I know (I don't follow the news) this was broken and still updating from the early Friday morning after Thanksgiving. I've been following this story only from what SportsTalkRadio hosts are telling me; they seem to have the best opinion and summarizations of what has gone down each and every day of this ongoing soap-opera.

I heard some adult female was shipped off from Tiger's home just yesterday in an ambulance. Also, Ryan Longwell (of the Minnesota Vikings) is one of Tiger's neighbors in that gated community.
