Avatar 3D

Post by Deepak »

I couldnt find a thread about Avatar even though I'm quite certain that there must have been one started. Anyway, I saw the movie in 3D a couple of days ago.

The CGI was amazing. Since this was the first 3D movie I saw I cant really compare the 3D effects but I found it amazing. I was in complete awe of the movie. Avatar rivals District 9 in the top movie of the year spot for me. I cant really decide which one is on top now.

Anyone else seen it yet?

I saw it on Saturday. I didn't see the 3D, not too much into that. I watched it on an UltraScreen though. It was actually very good. I was impressed by the CGI, it looked very realistic.

Saw this yesterday. It was unbelievable! CGI was incredible, and I was just blown away by the entire production. I saw an interview with James Cameron who said that this movie was 15 years in the making and took 4 years to film. They had to invent a particular type of camera to film it as well. Best movie I've seen in a long time.

The plot is pretty predictable, but the picture is unlike anything you have ever seen and I noticed a lot of subtle but important messages and themes woven throughout the entire movie

It got an 84/100 on RottenTomatoes, which is usually very critical of movies.

There was a story and I followed it without any problem. Then again, I like sci-fi movies.

I have absolutely no interest in this movie. Looks like a live action smurfs.

I was saving my cash to see Holmes, but after so many good reviews, I may have to see this too... (dammit!)
