Buy Or Sell
If anyone has seen "Around the Horn" on ESPN then this will be familiar ground to you.
This is an on-going compeition game, where I'll be the moderator, judge, and score keeper, therefore won't be participating myself.
It'll work something like this. 4-5 people, more are welcome, will all respond to a statement such as "LeBron is the best player in the NBA right now." by either buying it or selling it (Agreeing or disagreeing) and saying why. You MUST state somewhere in your answer whether you are buying or selling, don't leave it up to me to decide. After everyone has posted their thoughts, or 5 days have passed, whichever occurs first, I'll award points, explainations to why I distubed like I did, and possibly my own thoughts on the issue. After which I'll delete all of the posts, and edit in the newly gained points in a permanent table and the new question, rinse and repeat.
Point system works like this:
-2 -- For not responding at all (without a reason, if you're out of town or whatever, it won't be counted against you)
-1 -- Not stating whether you're buying or selling and going completely offtopic with your explaination
1 -- Decent reasoning and points.
2 -- Good points to back up your choice.
3 -- Excellent points.
Also, please try not to feed off of the people who posted before you aka...don't just repost what they said, expand a little bit, and if all of what you wanted to say has already been stated....then reply faster next week.
If everyone cooperates, I think this can be a really fun game for everyone, and a great addition to the sports section of the forum.

I'm in...
I have an idea...
Rather than you going through a ton of work and beyond that, you can make it easier on yourself (without having to delete posts, etc) and you can keep track of who is in the game, is by letting us edit our posts...Each person will have one reply in the thread, therefore people can add themselves to the game simply by replying once...Also, the forum will tell when the posts are edited...
Or, am I misunderstanding what is is you're saying..?

Good idea. I wouldn't have minded doing it the other way, but I think yours is much easier and will be neater.

I'm in also. Wouldn't miss this. I don't understand what how we're suppose to do it tho. AYHJA....wtf were you trying to say?
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

He's saying just edit your one post to answer each question, instead of making a new post, that way everyone who wants to play will only have one post, and the thread max will be like 10 posts....instead of the say 200 it'd be after a couple weeks.
Hopefully everyone understands now, because I'm going to start it up, any questions continue to post in this thread.
