Police: Orange man had cocaine under daughter's car seat

MONTICELLO - Police say a Middletown man sold crack cocaine to a Monticello undercover officer and then authorities found 2 ounces of crack cocaine and an ounce of powder cocaine under his daughter's booster seat.

Roberto Pelosi Jr., 31, was arrested last week after sheriff's deputies and the Monticello police developed information of his alleged drug dealing through the sheriff's Gang Intelligence Unit.

Pelosi's 9-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son were with him.

Pelosi was charged with criminal sale of a narcotic drug, a felony, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Victor Whitman
