Everyone go and see the movie so we can discuss it...Anybody that doesn't like it or can't afford to, don't say anything, just dip out of the thread...I went to see it tonight, and thought it was great, but anything that puts a story around all the artifacts, and the mythos surrounding those artifacts is bound to catch my attention regardless...
For those not planning on seeing it...Well, if you don't have a clue about religious dogma and such you still may get a kick out of it...If, however, you do kick around in VU and other places that love to talk of such things, have at it..!

Damn Rim, we're SO gonna have to start this without you..! Anyway...I missed like...The first 10? minutes of the film...when I got into the theater, the little Mexican man had the spear of destiny, and was about to get hit by a car, of course he gets up and keeps strolling...

Yeah, I saw all of that...
In the very beginning of the movie, they were in some kind of junkyard or something...And the guy had the spear in his hand...And all of a sudden, this car comes out of nowhere and crushes him...He emerged from the wreckage and kept steppin'...I didn't see anything before that...All of that happened before they even showed the name of the movie, and before the mirror exorcism...
Which was right cool by the way...

you didn't miss much ... text on the screen that says whoever has the spear of destiny controls the fate of the world .. then it cut to Mexico where the guy and a friend were like diggin something .. the guy takes a misstep and his foot breaks through the ground (rotted wood) ... he finds the spear and you know what happens after that.

Did you guys know that this forum is the only place on the web where you can find the real name of the spear of destiny..? I thought that was pretty cool...

OK, so now that I'm caught up on it...What did you guys think of the movie...I thought it was very good, but I'm reading reviews from other sites that say that the only thing good about the movie was the performance of Rachel Weisz...She is fucking MONDO hot to me by the way...I didn't know that this was a movie based on a comic book, which is almost always sure to make some people not happy...
I'm probably going to have to go and see it again though...There was someone in the movie theather that was on oxygen, and that shit was gettin' its Darth Vader on the whole time...There are some elements of the movie that I couldn't get, or could need a bit of clarification...Mainly from the characters...
