The Undercovers

“Outwardly, Steven Bloom (Kodjoe) and his wife, Samantha (Mbatha-Raw), are a typical married couple who own a small catering company in Los Angeles and are helped by Samantha’s easily frazzled younger sister, Lizzy (Jessica Parker Kennedy). Secretly, the duo were two of the CIA’s best spies until they fell in love on the job five years ago and retired. When fellow spy and friend Nash (Carter MacIntyre) goes missing while on the trail of a Russian arms dealer, the Blooms are reinstated by boss Carlton Shaw (Gerald McRaney) to locate and rescue Nash. The pair is thrust back into the world of espionage as they follow leads that span the globe — and Steven and Samantha realize that this supercharged, undercover lifestyle provides the excitement and romance that their marriage has been missing.”

Seen some trailers, but ionno Homez...Seems like too much of a knock-off, and I don't have the stomach for network TV as it is...I didn't like Mr. & Mrs. Smith that much anyway, lol...

Not to pull out the race card all willy nilly BUT its rare to me to have to African-Americans headline a show.
Well atleast to me. The last time I can think of it happening Was Moesha and The Cosby show before it.

It might not be a big deal to most as is it seems to me. I bet drew will come in here with a list of 40 shows with black leads since Moesha to show me that this isn't a big deal.

Honestly the only reason I bring this up is because to me like I said its rare to see black leads.

To me hollywood is still neglectful in having minorities in leads on shows and biracial couples as leads as well.
To me if there is a biracial couple they are apart of ensemble cast like Modern Family. With the white guy with latin wife or black wife. But hardly ever a black man with a white wife.

Plus I'm a Fan of Lost as I think its one of the best shows ever made. And Fringe is pretty great as well, So I will alway be interested in a JJ Abrams joint.

Oh I haveta respectfully disagree with ya -84. Everytime I see a black guy on tv now he's either dating a white girl or an Asian chick. One of my best friends a (black chick) is always railing about how Hollywood is making it look like there is no love for the black woman from black men or any other race like there is the other way around. And I kinda agree with her. I think black women are almost completely ignored in all aspects of Hollywood media.

Couple years back there was a show called Daybreak that had Moon Bloodgood married or dating Taye Diggs's character. On Grey's Anatomy Isiah Washington was with Sandra Oh's character. On Criminal Minds Shemar Moore's character is always flirting and dating white girls on the show. Plus wayyyyy back when he was on Birds of Prey he was with Ashley Scott's character. Kate Walsh on Private Practice also I believe has something going with Taye Diggs' character (maybe he has a white women only clause in his contracts).

Then there's of course reality television with "For the Love of Ray J" or Chad Ochocinco Johnson's dating shows feature mostly white women as matches. On TO's show his girl is white. And of course the Kardashian sisters and all their shows where the only prerequisite to date one of them is to be a brother.

And I know I've seen many many more I just haven't taken good notes....tee hee. But I can hardly think of one instance where you see a black woman dating anyone outside of a brother. Hollywood hardly actually ever portays black women as desirable in anything I can remember besides Nip/Tuck one season with Sanaa Lathan dating the guy who played Doctor Doom in the FF movies.

Uhh....what? I don't know whether you think that I think I'm some kind of know it all...or if you think I'm some sort of racist who downplays all race issues....but either way...you're wrong..and if you'd like to actually bring something like that up...please take it either to a private message or the flame thread...don't try and take misguided and inaccurate shots in the middle of your posts when they're completely unwarranted.

And to go off of what you said DL1, it seems like most black women are portrayed in a poor light whenever they get any coverage by the mainstream media. Stuff like "I Love New York" ...that paints an unrealistic picture of black women for the people who don't have the pleasure of associating with them on a daily basis. The black women is the most discriminated against and poorly portrayed of all race/gender combos.
