The Jump Off

Think about your CD/MP3 collection...

What is the greatest Jump Off song that you've ever heard..? For those not fluent in Ebonics, Jump Off means "First"...The First song on a CD,period...This includes interludes...

Track 1...That's it...

While the choices are far and many...The greatest jump off song I think I've ever heard is Tupac's, excuse me, Makaveli's "Bomb First (My First Reply)" on the CD "The Don Killuminati: The Seven Day Theory"...I mean, that shit was CHARGED man...Made me love that CD...

Honorable mention is 112's Intro on their self titled debut album, and Let's Go Crazy, from Purple Rain...

I got two favorites, both off my personal MP3 collections:

1. "Because The Night" by 10,000 Maniacs. This was the the last hit the group had before disbanding. Natalie Merchant went solo after this. Good cover of Bruce Springsteen's song.

2. "Dirty Deeds" by AC/DC. The Thunder from Down Under really cooks on this power classic which features the Late Bonn Scott. He died and was replaced by Brian Johnson.

"I'M SWEET, BUT FUCK WITH ME AND I'LL MOP THE FLOOR WITH YOU" - SHIRLEY MANSON
