I am 7 1/2 weeks into a Masters of Management Information Systems Program at Strayer University and need to begin developing a topic for my Directed Research Project to obtain my degree.
I imagine researching a subject that's "new" in the Information Systems arena will be difficult. I haven't thought of any concrete theories just yet but would like to hear any ideas from the forum.
Need Help Determining a Subject for Directed Research Study

Hello Black Blutterfly, and welcome to ADN...Damn, we must have done something right around here, you're the second female to join this month I do believe....And lawd, she's in my favorite part of the forum..!
w00t! Enjoy your time here, and feel free to explore the rest of the site...Yes, we all have issues, but what family doesn't..?
At any rate, something new in the IS field would be difficult...Any topic that I can think of, would require more introspect that research I imagine...Here are a couple of things that come to mind, nothing entirely new, but cutting edge for certain groups...I would tackle a mainstay, one that is and will be in the middle of any information...The CPU itself...There are several issues revolving around CPU's that could provide tons of in depth articles...
Perhaps doing something on the relevance of 64 bit computing would work...
Or, there is a new CPU chip set to be placed in the new Playstation 3, with enourmous computing power no desktop CPU has in it...Researching the effects of technology advancement, and what it means for society and or businesses...That should lead to some interesting theories...
Multiple core processing is about to break wide open, I would say running with something along those lines would be a great source for information and theories of your own...
