Matisyahu is the Y'din (Jewish, as opposed to Israeli) origin of the name "Matthew", and means "Gift of YHV" (Where YHV is an ancient pronunciation of the name that forms the basis for the four letter name of God YHVH.)

According to Chassidic tradition, and the "Graa" text precious to ancient Y'du Y'tzira (Jewish Mystical thought usually just called "Qabala" nowadays), Matisyahu was the birth name of the Melekh Ha-Yudah (King of Judah) David's son, whom the world was to call "Solomon." - and who united the kingdoms of Judah and Israel to the demise of both.

Matthew Miller is the birth name of the Chassidic Student who also happens to be the frontman for this music troupe including a islamic sufi , and a few others, and so his name as an artist is the Native Yidi (Jews). Thus in "his native tongue" (as a Yid), his name is Matisyahu.

See, you have to consider the bible was born of five ages of philosophical redaction occurring in two kingdoms both of which had their own religions, and language and government.. which encompassed fifteen tribes, who all claimed the same history. The only way it ever worked was because the essential language roots of the people were the same.

For example,

Matthias "Gift of Esh" is from Israel.
Esh is an Israeli name of God, as in Elias (El-i-esh, My "El" is Esh, or My God is God.)

Matisyahu "Gift of YHV" is from Judah. (Yudah)
YHV is a name of god originating the YHVH four letter name of god of modern Judiasm.

It originates by incorporating all letters from all "terms of being" in the Proto-Hebrew Caananite language.

Hv (hoo) - "He" (neuter, in the original language- so also "her")
Yh (yeh) - "Will"

So the context of the first verse of Genesis is really:
