Love

A school of music that studies the rhythm of nature, a school of fashion that studies the elegance of the Universe, a school of design that studies the architecture of the ancients, a school of philosophy that studies the time-tested Truth.

Love is very real. Not the pretty birds and flowers kind of thing. Or "True Love" as such for that matter. For me it is a very complex thing. It is something which cannot be limited to a single description or definition. Different types of love exist and they all evolve. It comes and goes. Love may start with lust or infatuation, but that is not it. Love is when you get over that part and you still care. When you spend years with the same person and still smile when you wake up next to her.

I can't say exactly what it is, but I can tell you if you wish to live, you have it in your life...Without it, you would cease to exist, one way or the other...

Love is a four-letter word. The end. It's going to be awfully difficult to discuss something that has tens of thousands of interpretations unless we narrow it down to a few dozen. Love between family, friends, significant-others, neighbors, mentors, strangers, at first sight, at long last, young, old, you get the point. Good thread, but I vote that Logic picks a starting point first so we're not all shooting at an iBook in a blizzard. =)

^^^Make sense.. I'll limit it. I apologize for the inconveinance (?)...

But I am referring to True Love. Like when you say you are In Love with someone.

I hope that helps.
I'll get back at this thread tomorrow with my opinion or whatever. I am off to bed for now.

I believe True Love exists.

That's why I turned gay.

On the real tho, I think due to the fact that God made Adam and Eve, to live and serve each other, and each other only, means God thinks it's best to have one partner for life (opposite sex). No "proof", but I think God would set it up best. Whether that proves "True" love or not, iono, depends on your def of it. But I do feel that is how we have been designed to live our lives from a, uhh, marital perspective.

Reminds me of a joke:

God makes Adam, then tells him, "Adam, youre lonely. I want to give you a companion that is equal with you on all levels. Just as strong as you, just as smart, just as logical, just as perfect."

Adam says, "Great. That's awesome!"

God says' "It's gonna cost ya an arm and a leg though."

Adam says, "Well what can I get for a rib?"

If we are talking about relationships and things like that...Hmm...

I think that a man falls in love ONCE...I think he has once time where he is head over heels completely overjoyed with a female...God forbid she break his heart, cause he'll be crushed...I think you can go on to love again, but it won't ever be quite the same, as you won't let yourself go that deep again...Usually...

I think women are capable of being in love multiple times, as they are emotional creatues primarily anyways...

How did I miss this one?

Anyway, like any other simple person I believe that true love exists. Whether we find it or not is a totally different question. True love exists but what it is exactly cannot really be descried. If you say that you are destined to be with someone then it just says that we don't really have a choice and being a human that is something that we cannot stand. We all need to know that we have a choice. This kinda reminds me of the matrix but anyway back to the topic.

True love has no basic defention and it cannot be said how it happens. At times it can happen by a look and at times you can go a lifetime without even realizing that you are in love. It is quite complex to describe love and how it happens. I believe that we all have a certain ore (not too sure whether this is the right word to use) which matches to one person, like soul mates but many times its like the ore is similar and that is why you find yourself in situations where you think you love someone but its only an infatuation.

Other times its like someone who you would want to love, some idea or what you would expect for your significant other to be like and you find yourself falling for them however you dont realise that its not really love its some fanatasy that you create for yourself to help in looking for that true love and maybe reduce the time of the search because you might just be scared of not finding that true love.

Did I answer the question?
WHEN THE RICH WAGE WAR ITS THE POOR WHO DIE

Agape - Love of God, Humanity, and Spiritual Completion.

Eros - Love of carnal nature, earthly pleasure, and sensation.

Pathos - Love of a religion or skill, or Craft.

all of these are real, and do not not have to be mutually exclusive.

In fact, for me, they tend to balance one another.
