Is it the coach..?

Damn, I love the U, and yes it sucks that they lost...But damn, I don't know if I would have done this:

Damn, having been on a team, I can say that the percentage of coach to player ratio on fuckups is about 70/30...I'm not saying that coaches don't earn their cash, but if you lay down the perfect game plan, and it is not exectuted, is it not the perfect game plan..? If my trainer is telling me that the guy I'm fighting has a tendency to drop his left hand when I feint and throw a jab, and I fail to exploit that weakness and get knocked out..? Granted some coaches are fired to shake things up...But think of those coaches with tenure...Like Bill Cowher...Pittsburg hasn't won the big dance, but they are consistent winners...When do you tell coaches the jig is up..?

uh...since when to the assitant coaches get the axe before the head coaches....... that looks like he's covering his ass to makeup for the fact that hes not doing his job......if you're gonna wipe the slate clean.....do it all the way through...don't show favoritism to the head coach....he's the main guy...his name is in the papers if they win...and should be in on the firing squad if they lose....

political bullshit.

It was the head coach that did the firing...

Did you mean he should have fired himself, or...?

Coker did the firing but it seems that word came on from on high. Coker gets to hire exclusively his own team now and he better make good because his job has got to be on the line in '06. He's likely got to make it to at least the ACC championship game.

Coker was told to make the decision....I'm saying he should have been fired instead of being allowed to do the firing himself...

Where'd you read that at LG..?

Either way, I think this is a bad move...But true to life, the guys that got fired..Man those units played horrible...The offensive line was the worst that I've seen in years I think...But those guys have alot of experience, gonna be hard to replace them man...He fired guys that bleed orange and green, and like khan said, his job is on the line...UM lost some games they should not have lost...

Damn, all of my teams lost their bowl games, LoL...

Fired them because they lost 3 games in consecutive years. That's still really good. They need to get some better recruits and they're back in the top again. Shouldn't of fired them
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"
