Haven't seen it but I've heard mixed reviews on it from people I know. Pretty much their opinions were split on whether it was good or not.

I saw it and was quite freaked out about it. I honestly don't know whether to believe if someone can be "possessed by demons".

Exorcism is a powerful tool. As a deacon of the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, I have performed exorcism, but not the Ritual Romanum, as I am not a Catholic Priest , but have some aspirations to start as a Gnostic Novitiate Priest eventually,. and have an open invite to do so.

but was the movie good?

No man, its nothing like the exorcist...

That's what I was thinking, that it was some kind of knock off...Without saying to much, it is basically the story of a very religious midwestern? country girl who went off to college and gets herself possessed...

[spoil:77189c968d]One night, she awakes and sees a pencil holder move off of her desk, her covers are snatched off of her, and she is seemingly held down and choked by a force nobody can see...

The family had a priest come to the house to perform an exocism, and the girl dies afterwards...He is charged with murder...The story is unfolded in the courtroom, with the defense trying to justify exorcism, and the prosecution saying she was mentally ill, epileptic psychosis I believe, and that is what caused her symptoms, and that the priest was neglegent for her death...[/spoil:77189c968d]

It is worth the rent, or so I thought...the fact that it was based on a true story peaked my interest...I'd want to watch it again, and will probably rent it, as I first saw it on a bootleg, and was half assed expecting it to put me to sleep...I ended up waking up all the way and becoming interested...

I just finished watching this movie and loved it. I heard that a lot of people thought it was scary but I didn't think it was at all. It shows the power of the supernatural.

So Raum, are you gonna see the movie? I'd like to know how accurate it was
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Soren Kierkegaard
