Learning PHP4/PHP5

I have decided to formally study php...

As many of you may or may not know, often work with the scripts on this forum, fixing this, and fixing that...But, those are contextual fixes, meaning I'm not really able to reproduce those scripts on my own...

I have come across an e-book that promises to teach php in 24 hours...Not bad, eh..? If anyone wants to jump in with me and learn something new, I'll be be glad to share the e-book and we can use this thread as a classroom...There are several guys around these parts that are more than competent programmers, and can help out if needed...

Otherwise, I'll be going about this puppy on my lonesome, but just thought I'd extend the invitation to geekdom...
