Life Ain't Always Beautiful
(Cyndi Goodman/Tommy Lee James)

Life ain't always beautiful
Sometimes it's just plain hard.
Life can knock you down,
It can break your heart.

Life ain't always beautiful:
You think you're on your way.
And it's just a dead end road,
At the end of the day.

But the struggles make you stronger,
And the changes make you wise.
And happiness has it's own way,
Of takin' it's sweet time.

No, life aint always beautiful.
Tears will fall sometimes.
Life aint always beautiful,
But it's a beautiful ride.

Life aint always beautiful:
Some days, I miss your smile.
I get tired of walkin' all,
These lonely miles.

And I wish for just one minute,
I could see your pretty face.
Guess I can dream,
But life dont work that way.

But the struggles make me stronger,
And the changes make me wise.
And happiness has it's own way,
Of takin' it's sweet time.

No, life aint always beautiful.
But I know I'll be fine.
Hey, life ain't always beautiful,
But it's a beautiful ride.
What a beautiful ride.

Raum is a proponent of Alchemical marriage, that is to say a Marriage of Unity within the self; as enacted through marrying a consensual and outward willing person to bring forth new life, within and without.

for me, the internal marriage is accomplished and I have for years enjoyed the external dedication of life with a woman who completes me in many ways.

So.
1. Tell me what you think about marriage on your best day.

We are the limbs of a terrible creature who would devour the vainest ideas of what a vulgar mind could concieve as love, and even the bile that drips from our jows would be more pure than what most seek in their earthy unions. and those limbs encompass a heart and heat that would blot out the sun were it not concealed within our mortal frames. (kinda poetic on my good days)

2. Tell me what you think about marriage on your worst day.

She stifles me because she wants to be with me, when I want to be so much more than a me she could be with. On my bad days (in terms of "marriage"), I relish in my solitude and grim determination and use the momentum of it to propel myself in my efforts. Sometimes it is hard to get going on something because beign that i have her, there is little else I need. the tragic irony of paradise found. (guess i am kinda poetic on my bad days as well)

3. If you are married would you go back and get married now (if you knew then what you know now)?

i think this applies to those who are legally married.

4. Would you advise marriage?

none can advise marriage for another
