Re: 30 Days of Vista Ultimate
Went to help a friend install Fista today on an older computer.
The install DVD kept asking for a DVD/CD driver and wouldn't let me install.
I've figured out the problem. The DVD drive is an old one that doesn't have region locking like current one's do. FFS Fista won't let you install with a region unlocked DVD drive. Subsequently reinstalled XP. I suspect his computer would have seriously struggled with Fista anyway, but this issue shouldn't happen.

Re: 30 Days of Vista Ultimate
Me running vista isnt at all bad. Its not slow or anything. Thats because I always monitor what processes are running and everything.
I do have a question about the ready boost feature. Do you need a special type of flash drive because I got one recently and I wasnt able to use it as a ready boost feature for that flash drive. So what is the deal?

Re: 30 Days of Vista Ultimate
The drive has to have certain specs before it will do the readyboost, check the Vista help files for the specific specs you need to do it...

Re: 30 Days of Vista Ultimate
nice one zaphodz.
reading the specs on your puter makes me wanna jack wifey's brand spanking new Aspire. minus the RAM (only a GB) & the screensize (only 17") they're exactly the same.Übermensch wrote:http://www.ayhja.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=280&t=15985
