So...this isn't something you can practice on? My buddy made it out like his teacher could do it on a whim. He also mentioned that it takes close to a lifetime to learn. That's what his teacher said.

I'm not saying you CAN'T practice...or that practice doesn't help.
I am saying I have not YET particularly practiced on it, myself, and my attempts to try and produce this effect have not been particularly consisent.
certainly not to where I would claim that I "can levitate."
vertical,

But you've done it before? Wow, I wish I could see someone do that...
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"
Soren Kierkegaard

A child's game...
I'm not one to say tht somebody CAN'T do something, cause I know I'd simply be saying that I can't do it myself, and don't see a reasonable way to do it, LoL...
But...I remember that when we were children, my cousins and I would do this trick where on of us would sit on a stool, and 4 of us would stand around them...Then we'd all put our hands hoving over the sitting persons head, one over the other, but not touching...When everybody had their hands in, we'd remove them, and then place a single finger underneath a joint, and lift the person off the stool...
No matter who we did it to, they felt light as air...I'm not sure what manner of "practice" one would have to entertain to levitate, and even if it were possible, I'm not sure it could be percieved, if you can catch my drift..
