When you are in a state of quietness, you have your eyes closed, right? also, if you are truly focused on what you need to be focused on, you do not hear anything, at least you are not aware of it. You usually are not aware of anything that is in contact with your body either..Smell, taste, same deal..When I meditate my focus is only on God (at least after the 10 minutes or so that I need to "free my mind" if you will) and I am not aware of anything physical..
By sin, I mean seeing some hot dime walk by and wishin you was hittin that like barry bonds watchin a little league pitcher toss 'em over the plate..
Giving into vices that you know are wrong, is what I mean by sin in this context..

lmao at the barry bonds analogy....
I'd have to disagree with you about the meditation part. When you close your eyes, you still are in contact with your senses. It's part of who you are. You will be aware of what's going on. Maybe not as much as usual, but you still are aware

not jus when you close your eyes..but when you are actually in a state of prayer..when Jeshua prayed, I doubt he was ever thinking in the back of his head, "hmm its cold out today" or "what was that sound"..I bet He was so focused on what He was doing, that His senses were blocked out..I think that is how it should be..

Well, we aren't Jeshua. He had a connection that we will never have...He is God and man. I'm sure he may not of been thinking about if it's cold or if he heard a noise, but I'm sure that he did hear noices and could feel a breeze while he was praying.
Actually, he didn't feel a breeze...He told us to pray in a closet to be in private....

When you are totally focused on something, you are not aware of anything else. It takes up all your concentration..its pretty basic..

But, I just realized, this does not neccessarily mean prayer only, it applies to anything..Guess it is just how our minds are wired..
