Alex Smith signs with Niners...

Yeah, I really don't think any rookie is worth that much money. They haven't played any NFL games to prove they earned that much money. They should have signed some high market free agents for that much money, like Smoot or Rolle.

This last pre-season game Rattay came in and proved why he was the starter last year. I think if the Niners signed Plax and got some OL help as well as maybe Smoot or Rolle then they would be able to compete.
